An old water tank has been transformed into a residential home. Here’s how it looks from the inside!

When I saw this apartment, I absolutely wanted to share some photos with you.

Personal memories immediately overwhelmed me: during my first business trip to Sweden (oh, what an interesting period of my life!), I was taken to a similar building.

It was in the mid-2000s. My colleagues told me that at the time, the costs of apartments in this tower were exorbitant, and the price per square meter was astronomical.

All well-off individuals wanted to touch history and live in an unusual place.

Later, I learned that the conversion of water tanks is not at all uncommon.

Apartments, restaurants, hotels, and even observatories are created from them.

For example, some water tanks in the Tyumen region, where I lived for a few years, found a new and interesting purpose: one (in the city center) now houses a creative club for children.

While another (in the outskirts) has become a private observatory, where you can observe the stars at night for a small fee.

Let’s return to today’s apartment. It is located in an old water tank from 1912 on the outskirts of Stockholm.

Until 1959, the tower supplied water to the residents of the surrounding neighborhoods, then it was closed and preserved.

In the 1980s, the building was transformed into a residential home.

In total, there are five apartments here, each offering a fantastic view of the surroundings (some windows overlook the river).

The height of the tower is 28 meters.

The apartment we are talking about today is on the fourth floor.

The property includes a garden and several inner courtyards, where residents can cultivate vegetables and herbs if they wish.
