The Williamstown, West Virginia resident spent her summer vacation transforming a 1974 Wilderness trailer into a so-called „glamper.“
The terms „camping“ and „glamour“ are combined to form the word „glamper.“
She claims that this updated Wilderness trailer will make camping much more enjoyable and less restrictive.
Wait until you see her beautifully renovated Wilderness trailer to understand how ambitious this high schooler is.
According to the girl’s mother, Lori, she saved about $500 through household chores, birthday gifts, and other activities to buy and renovate the trailer.
Here is a photo of the trailer before all the modifications.
Ellie claims to have seen the trailer for sale on a community bulletin board for $200.
With the money left after purchasing the trailer, she bought paint, flooring, fabrics, and other accessories for her „glamper.“
Ellie claims that the trailer was in very poor condition as the previous owners used it for both camping and hunting. It required a lot of work, much effort, her mother said.
Her older brother Jesaja was the one who had the original idea of building a small trailer.
She says Jesaja had built a small cabin for himself and his friends where they could spend time, and she wanted something similar for her and her friends, only „cuter“ and closer to home because she needed electricity and Wi-Fi.
The trailer had to be completely emptied and thoroughly cleaned before starting the project.
Then she used Valspar’s „Mystic Sea“ color to paint the trailer.
In the picture above, Ellie cleans the excess glue left on the floor after disassembly.
Her grandfather Lawrence, who taught her some basic woodworking skills like reinforcement and hole repair, is also shown in the picture above.
Ellie then chose the color scheme she preferred for the next step, a kind of turquoise.
Ellie carefully paints the interior and transforms the concept of dull wood into something more colorful.
The interior of the trailer is making progress and taking shape in the picture below.
The finishing touches were added in the final steps.
While Ellie laid new floors, her grandmother Mary helped her design the cushions and curtains.
Ellie claims to have collected many items during the summer to prepare her „glamper.“
You can see her bringing a mannequin decoration she bought from a recently closed warehouse in the picture below.
She says she got a lot of inspiration for her project on Pinterest, which helped her a lot.
Ellie continues to add decorations to her almost finished „Glamper,“ including a vintage camera, a retro electric fan, and coordinated towels handmade by her grandmother.
When asked what she will do after completing the project, she replied that she will organize an overnight stay with her friends or simply spend a quiet time reading and playing the ukulele.
Ellie has created an amazing „Glamper“ with her determination.
It is surprising for a person of her age to undertake such an ambitious project.
Ellie’s mother responds, „I never told her she couldn’t do something,“ when asked why her daughter would take on such a challenge.
And with this kind of encouragement, Ellie set out to create something beautiful.
If we consider Ellie’s endeavor as a finished product, we should never forget that effort always pays off.
If we put in the effort, we can achieve anything.
