La Maison de Jeanne, a web sensation in 2017, is known to be one of the oldest houses in the department of Aveyron.
Dating back to the 14th century, it is located at number 10 Rue de Belvezet, at the corner of Passage de l’Hospice.
It is famous for being one of the oldest houses in the Aveyron department.
Particularly notable are its half-timbered and partially clay walls, the entrance accessible via a few steps and protected under a jutting upper floor,
the shelves on both levels, and the small size of its openings, including an oval one (on the south side) and a box window (on the north side).
In July and August, Jeanne’s house hosts medieval events. On this occasion, it opens its doors to visitors.
In May 2017, an American tourist posted a photo of the house on social media.
The photo was shared more than 1.7 million times in just 2 days: since then, Maison de Jeanne has attracted attention worldwide!
