A couple purchased a house in Los Angeles, California, at an auction to completely remodel it. They acquired the property without even having seen it in person, but when they finally entered, they got an unpleasant surprise.
Inside the house, there was a large amount of various objects, dead animals, and two safes. One was closed, and the other had been forcibly opened.
They had to hire someone to open the intact safe, and they found things that, according to the couple, couldn’t be shown and had to be handed directly to the police.
Tiffany, the 28-year-old woman who bought the house, explained that someone had recently entered to take something specific, although they were not sure what. The whole story was posted in a TikTok video that went viral, garnering over 1.7 million views, 191 thousand likes, and 1300 comments.
Of course, the intriguing story of the abandoned house sparked curiosity among TikTok users, who began speculating about what had happened inside and who owned the property. Some even theorized that the owner was a murderer. In reality, it turned out that the owner had died without leaving a will.
Tiffany and her boyfriend Matt had to spend hours organizing and disposing of all the objects in the place. The woman explained that as soon as they saw the house for the first time, she felt immensely regretful about buying it.
She also mentioned that upon entering, they smelled a horrendous odor of urine and accumulated dust. It was almost impossible for them to walk due to the immense amount of things scattered on the floor. They even came across dead animals.
After finishing clearing out the house, the unopened and looted safe remained. At first, they didn’t care much about what was inside until someone called them and informed them that the property had been robbed a few days before they were given the keys. Fearing that this could happen again, they hired a specialist to open the safe.
What they found in the safe surprised everyone: jewelry, photos of strippers, swords and daggers, old photo albums, rare coins, and even strands of human hair.
Tiffany said, „After hours of watching the contractor hammer the safe, we finally got it open, and, oh my God, what we found was crazy.“
„There was an engagement ring, lots of photos that could definitely be used for blackmail, many rare bills and old coins, and we even found a dagger.
But honestly, the craziest thing we found, I’m not even allowed to tell you, because we had to involve the police.“
