The construction of a small house has completely transformed Luanne’s life in the best possible way.
Moreover, the interior is simply stunning!

When homeowner Luanne was ready to retire, she decided to take an extra step that would change her life and moved into a tiny house.
She was fascinated by tiny houses and knew it would be a very „liberating“ option!
It would allow her to comfortably spend her golden years with social benefits, without worrying about high mortgages or maintenance costs.
Luanne obtained a house from the Incredible Tiny Homes community in Newport, Tennessee.
She built her tiny house called „The Nest“ for $79,000, 10 feet wide and 28 feet long.

The retiree told Tiny House Giant Journey:
„People living in this community pay $200 a month for their rent (of the land).
At the moment, we also pay $25 a month for water, and then we pay for our electricity, which is an incredible deal.“
Luanne loved Christmas and expressed it through the decoration of her home.
Fortunately, living in tiny houses doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy Christmas decorations.
The retiree doesn’t have to worry about storing decorations after Christmas, as a storage shed was provided to each house on the land, which they could customize as they liked.

You can already sense the festive atmosphere outside her house. Now, let’s take a look inside…
The colors perfectly match the season! She planted a small tree on the side of her house and placed a beautiful red wooden chair in front of it.
At her door, there’s a handmade wreath.
As soon as you enter, you immediately feel the warmth of her home.
A large window in front of the door gives a sense of spaciousness, rather than having a wall in front.
You can see her tree next to the fireplace with stockings at the ends.

There’s a sofa large enough for four or five people, and Luanne said it could accommodate ten by adding extra chairs.
The kitchen is no exception and has everything needed in a home.
The cabinets provide enough space for pots and pans. However, Luanne prefers shelves for dishes, glasses, and cutlery.
She has also added festive touches here to feel the joyful season in her home.
Luanne has a cozy workspace for all her artistic works and items.
It also serves as a dining table. She loves this creative space, where she can spread everything out and work wonders with any craft she starts.
And if you love birds, you’ll love Luanne’s idea of placing a bird feeder near the window to watch them.
And if you think storage space is a problem, not in this house.
She bought this wardrobe from Ikea, which has plenty of storage space and fits perfectly in her tiny house.
It has all the compartments she needs for her clothes, linens, and fabrics she uses for her artistic works.
Opposite is the bathroom, which looks quite spacious.
It’s not the typical bathroom design, but the organization is quite similar.
She has a washing machine on one side and a toilet on the other. Even her shower area is not bad!

Going upstairs, you see her bedroom with all the Christmas accents.
It’s spacious enough for a queen-size high-density foam mattress and more.
You see a bookshelf, the same one you see in the living room.
It’s a clever way to provide coverage and create a feeling of privacy in her room.
The height is also sufficient to allow Luanne to sit upright.
Moving into „The Nest“ has completely changed her life. Luanne explained:
„I believe the best part of living in a tiny house is simply how it simplifies your life.
But also the financial freedom it offers. My house is paid for – it’s somehow incredible.“
