The daughter of „The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air“ star, Alfonso Ribeiro, Ava Sue, was involved in a scooter accident that resulted in injuries requiring surgery.
The incident occurred just a day before the child’s fourth birthday.
Ava Sue sustained injuries after falling from her seated scooter.
Unfortunately, she suffered severe scars, extensive bruises, and serious burns on her elbow, right shoulder, and around her right eye.
Both Alfonso and his wife Angela Ribeiro have shared updates on Ava Sue’s condition.
„It’s not the kind of day you wish for on the eve of your fourth year.
I just want to express my sincere gratitude to [Kare MD Skin Health] for the emergency care and intervention that helped reduce the likelihood of [scarring].
‚I’m so proud of how brave my little one was during the surgery,'“ wrote Alfonso next to photos of his daughter, thanking the medical staff for their prompt response.
Angela, on the other hand, expressed a foreboding feeling that something bad might happen, citing maternal instinct.
„I explained to the family, kids, babysitter, and friends helping with Ava’s birthday preparations that today we wouldn’t do anything crazy or risky that could lead to a visit to the emergency room.
I literally made sure everyone looked me in the eyes as I said those words,“ she wrote.
When Ava Sue was taken to Kare MD Skin Health, Dr. Raffy decided she needed surgery to minimize the potential for scarring.
„It wasn’t a fun way to spend her last day at three, but she was really brave,“ the mother wrote.
„Give this sweet girl some extra cuddles tonight.“
The staff at Kare MD Skin Health took the time to wish their young patient a happy birthday via Instagram and thanked Alfonso for entrusting them with his daughter.
