An adept man named ’99 Projects‘ has brought to life an abandoned cabin in the woods that had been neglected for over 100 years on his YouTube channel.

He purchased and repaired faulty heavy equipment such as a bulldozer, excavator, dump truck, chainsaw, tractor, and road grader.

And you wouldn’t believe what he recently acquired.

He bought an old cabin in the woods, abandoned for over a century!

This guy is really taking risks.

Who would seriously buy an old property in the middle of the woods, let alone an empty house that’s been vacant for over 100 years?

For those who have tried renovating a house, it’s more than just rebuilding a home.

If you are planning a house renovation project, you also need to consider other factors that are as important as the renovation process itself.

Fortunately, this man has enough knowledge and experience and definitely knows what he is doing.

The skilled man did a quick tour and discovered the extent of damages inside and outside his newly acquired property.

Without wasting time, he started his project by securing adequate outdoor space.

A good outdoor space will immensely help him kickstart his project.

It will also somewhat expedite the entire process since a spacious workspace will allow him to easily enter and exit the house.

With the help of his mini-excavator, he brought down some trees outside.

Next, he removed everything old and decayed inside the house, leaving only the skeletal framework.

But then he noticed something strange: the floor was not level.

He went back and fixed it by installing additional beams and adding support to keep the floor level and stable.

A YouTube user made a suggestion in the comments section.

„I was a bit worried when I saw you emptying the inside first, but I think you reflected and did well to start with leveling the basement floor.

I would start with the pillars and check if each pillar is on a solid base and if the entire house floor is leveled.

Then you can align the beams and joists. This will align the entire structure, and surprisingly windows and doors will open and close smoothly.

Next, I would fix the roof until it’s completely waterproof.

Now that you’ve fixed above and below, you can continue with the interior.

It’s a beautiful old cabin and deserves your best efforts to bring it back to life.“

Another viewer somehow had a similar idea.

„The first thing he needs to do is have the foundation checked along with all the main beams supporting the lower floors and walls, as well as the main roof beams.

They probably need to be supported or replaced. The house might need to be realigned.

The roof and porch essentially need to be torn down and rebuilt.

To check the leveling of your house, you can use a visual method to see how all the doors and windows close and open.

Do they fit properly in the frame? If all doors and windows close evenly, your house is leveled enough.“

It seems like his subscribers can also help him by sharing their experience and years of expertise in building houses.

I can’t wait to see what happens next.
